Preparatory Work

I watched a video that was an orientation to online learning and then I watched a video to learn why English is important not just for our own selves, but also for our learning. The course talks about the importance of both writing and speaking good English in order to get along in life and how the simple things like a knowledge of English can lead to great success down the line.

I find it both amusing and sad that people don't take email communication seriously enough to use proper language or grammar, but I am grateful that I have always strived to give my best self in email communication, as I sometimes stumble in my verbal communication and rely on my email communication heavily so that people can see my intelligence before I speak and possibly stumble.

I then read the Syllabus so that I could understand what would be expected of me this semester.

When I took the quiz, it allowed me to retake it until I got 100% so that I could truly learn and absorb the information. It took me a few tries, but I managed to get 100%.

From there, I explored the information about the BYU-Idaho Writing Center.
